1 – What is Relationship Management?

Relationship management can be defined as the ability to create, maintain and enhance interpersonal relationships, especially in a botim database and management context. It involves the ability to interact naturally, connect people and understand their needs, emotions and points of view.

3 – The Story of an Inexperienced Leader

Many years ago, when I was just 18 or 19, I was assigned to lead a crew in a professional manner, despite my inexperience. At the time, I was working as a roadie for a rock band. My job was to make sure all the equipment and structures were set up and working for the band’s shows.

In this context, I had my first asb directory as a manager, and I must admit that I was completely inexperienced in this role. I had some technical knowledge, but I knew nothing about leadership. Unfortunately, my lack of relationship skills soon became evident.

 

4 – Lack of Relationship Skills

One of the team members, Moses, was known to be somewhat temperamental. One day, instead of demonstrating good interpersonal skills, I ended up provoking Moses and demanding that he work harder. I was inappropriately challenging him, which led to an impending confrontation.

At this point, instead of understanding the importance of building relationships and being more sensitive to Moses’ emotions and needs, I continued to act inappropriately. He finally got fed up with the situation and confronted me directly, threatening a physical confrontation.

This story vividly illustrates the importance of interpersonal skills and how a lack of them can lead to conflict and problems in the workplace. If I had taken a more sensitive and empathetic approach, the situation could have been avoided.
